Managing a database is often tedious and very painful and many would rather visit their dentist and have their teeth removed. However, it is something so important if you are serious about finding new leads and opportunities to add to the sales funnel that it should never be ignored (bliss in this case it definitely isn't).
It's not hard to notice that we live in highly competitive times where everyone needs to be better than the next in order to be successful so it will be a real shame if all the time spent strategizing your marketing attack and the execution of well thought out campaigns fail to hit the desired heights (and sometimes worse - fall flat on your face) due to the source of where the communication is targeted at - your marketing database. As cliche as it may sound, it is true that its 'rubbish in, rubbish out' and our experiences (as well as our client's) tells us that as much as 25-30% of data is obsolete after a year. People leaving for pastures new, having a change of roles, companies closing down and the list goes on... Just how much would the lost opportunities cost you and your company?
Don't be like those companies. Be Better. Be Admired.
Some companies do take this very seriously and their databases are treated as a line in their balance sheet. They want to make sure that their databases are well organized and structured, new target companies and contacts are constantly added to replace those that have deteriorated or they simply want to grow their database (and their business) so their net is more widely spread. They work on enriching their database (and filling up missing gaps of information) so it allows them to be more knowledgeable about their clients and prospects and more targeted in their marketing communications and campaigns.
If that is something that you are keen on - being better and being admired as well as successful - we would be very happy to help. Database Management may not be for everyone but it is definitely for those who are driven to succeed.
